What changed in TOEFL Writing in 2026

The Writing section is about 23 minutes and 12 questions: 10 Build a Sentence items, one Write an Email task, and one Academic Discussion post. Integrated Writing and the independent essay are gone.

The checker is built for the two constructed responses you can paste: a campus email and a discussion post. Build a Sentence is scored separately in the timed mock, 1 or 0 per item by exact chunk order.
