Build a Sentence is 10 items in 6 minutes 50 seconds. Each item is 1 or 0. There is no partial credit.

Exact order

You click chips into place. The sentence is correct only when the chip order matches the key. Leftover chips are distractors — leave them unused.

Patterns that show up

Common grammar focuses include question inversion, embedded questions, relative clauses, agreement, and negation. If you miss several items of the same type, practice that pattern next.

Timing

About 40 seconds per item. Use the item dots to jump. You can go back inside the 10 items, but not after you leave this part.

Practice at /writing?task=bas. The report lists each item as correct or incorrect with a short pattern note — not fake 0–5 bars.
